CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS

Designing, implementing and maintaining a successful in-house corporate partnership program is a difficult endeavor. Case Study:    Mr. Roumph's involvement with corporate partnership began with Pueblo School District 60 in Pueblo, Colorado. In order to fight off the impending cuts of Pueblo School District 60 athletic programs, the school district implemented a student-athlete participation fee ($50 per sport). This lead to a drastic decline in the number of students participating in middle and high school athletics. In 1993-1994, a special reorganization task force sponsored by the school district was developed to help solve this problem.

Mr. Roumph, Vice-President of DD Marketing, was originally hired as the marketing coordinator for School District 60's community corporate partnership program. Working with DeRose, Roumph developed and implemented a corporate partnership campaign for the school district and in the first year they raised $178,000. Because of these external funds, the school district was able to reduce participation fees while student participation increased by nearly 600 from the previous year.

Over a six-year period, Mr. Roumph has accumulated over $1.3 million in corporate partnership monies for District 60. This is an outstanding accomplishment, exceeding the school boards projection by 400 percent.
